Shalanda H. Baker is a Professor of Law, Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University. She has spent over a decade conducting research on the equity dimensions of the global transition away from fossil fuel energy to cleaner energy resources. She is the author of over a dozen articles, book chapters, and essays and on renewable energy law, policy, and development. Her forthcoming book, Revolutionary Power: An Activist’s Guide to the Energy Transition, argues that energy policy should be the next domain to advance civil rights.She is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Initiative for Energy Justice (www.iejusa.org), an organization committed to providing technical law and policy support to communities on the frontlines of climate change.

Daniel A. Barber is an Associate Professor and Chair of the PhD Program in Architecture at the Weitzman School of Design. His research explores the intersection of environmental and architectural history, and is also concerned with how contemporary design practices are confronting the climate crisis. His latest book is Modern Architecture and Climate: Design before Air Conditioning (Princeton UP, 2020).

Kian Goh is Assistant Professor of Urban Planning at the University of California, Los Angeles. She researches the relationships between urban ecological design, spatial politics, and social mobilization in the context of climate change and global urbanization. Her research interests include urban theory, urban design, environmental planning, and urban political ecology. As a professional architect, she cofounded design firm SUPER-INTERESTING! and practiced with Weiss/Manfredi and MVRDV. She previously taught at Northeastern University, University of Pennsylvania, and the New School. She received a PhD in Urban and Environmental Planning from MIT, and a Master of Architecture from Yale University.

Andrés Jaque is an architect, writer, and curator. He is the founder of the Office for Political Innovation, a New York-based architectural practice, working at the intersection of design, research, and critical environmental practices. He has been awarded with the Frederick Kiesler Prize, the Silver Lion to the Best Project of the 14 Biennale di Venezia, and the Dionisio Hernández Gil Prize; and his work is part of the collection of MoMA in New York and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Ivan L. Munuera is a New York-based scholar, critic, and curator working at the intersection of culture, technology, politics, and bodily practices in the modern period and on the global stage. Since 2015 he has been developing his dissertation at Princeton University on the architecture of HIV/AIDS.

His research has been generously sponsored by the PIIRS (Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies) Grant for Winter and the CCA (Canadian Centre for Architecture) Summer Research Grant. He has presented his work at various academic forums, such as the Association for Art History, Cornell AAP, Columbia GSAPP, the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, Cooper Union, University of Virginia, Princeton University, Sussex University, Het Nieuwe Instituut, Manchester University, and UTS Sydney, among others.

His work has been published in Log, Thresholds, Perspecta (upcoming issue 53), The Architect’s Newspaper, and El País, among others. He has curated exhibitions at Museo Reina Sofía (The Schizos, 2009), Ludwig Museum (ACAX Residency, 2010), Princeton University (Liquid La Habana, 2018), and CA2M (Pop Politics, 2012-2013). His projects have been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2021), Istanbul Design Biennale (2016), and Seoul Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (2017).
